THE MAHARAJA'S BANQUET

Till date, there had been many rich and wealthy people who lived luxurious lives but only a few royals among these have lived uber lavish life that many can't dream off. These people live with things made up of gold and silver with huge mansions that may account for dozens in number spread across the globe. 

One such majestic life was that of Bhupinder Singh of Patiala, popularly known as 'Maharaja of Patiala', who lived one of those lavish lives. He was a symbol of wealth and luxury that only a few could imagine. One such extravagance was the Royal Banquet service made for him by leading gold and silversmiths from the around the globe over a century ago. The historic set, which comprised of 1500 pieces made in gold and silver and weighing almost 600 Kg recently went under the Hammer. The historic banquet was auctioned by Christie's and was grabbed by the Germany's Famous museum, Faberge.
The Banquet is now adding glories to one of the most famous museums in the world. You can give a visit to the museum whenever you visit Germany to have a glimpse of the Rich-life lived by these Royals.
