472 WEBSITES BLOCKED IN INDIA FROM 7TH JUNE, 2014

Seeing the privacy of people hindered on the web and illegal distribution of copyrighted material has forced the 'High-Court' in India to block a massive list of 472 popular websites like Google Docs, Solidify, Mega.co.nz, etc.
The correct reason for blocking these websites have not been made public, however, reports are that the websites have been blocked due to a plea filed by Sony India in the High-Court over its broadcasting rights over the FIFA World cup 2014. It is not clear for how much time the ban will be imposed, it may end in a few months or may be lifetime!
